Daily Euchre Puzzle
Three Euchre decisions a day, the same three for everybody: one bidding call (pass, order it up, or go alone?) and two card plays. Each has one best answer.
How the answers are found
Every puzzle comes from a simulated deal, never a real player's hand. You see only what you would see at the table: your cards, the turned-up card, who dealt, and every card played so far. To grade a choice, the cards you cannot see are dealt out hundreds of different ways that fit everything you have seen, and the hand is played to the end each time. A puzzle is kept only when the same answer comes out best every time by a clear margin, and only when it is not simply what the computer players would do anyway.
The numbers after each answer are points a hand: what each choice is worth on average to your side. The rules are this site's table rules: stick the dealer, and no Canadian loner.
